Mentors provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to the mentee, serving as role model, teacher, and leader.<\/p>\n<p>To be an effective mentor, you must be well-versed in the techniques to become a successful CNA. The mentor will support their mentees\u2019 social integration to provide a well-rounded, rewarding experience at the Care Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mentor Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must work as a CNA an average of 60+ hours per payroll.<\/li>\n<li>Orientate the new CNA on to the floor by introducing them to staff and residents.<\/li>\n<li>Work the first five shifts with each Mentee.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the skills check list with the Mentee.<\/li>\n<li>Stay in touch with the mentees to assess their development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mentor Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated positive leadership with staff.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent rapport with other staff and residents.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptionally knowledgeable of facility policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of six-months employment as a CNA at current location.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent orienting and training abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow through on all obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is your chance to grow and start something new and challenging.
