This is a full-time position, 70+ hours over a two-week period. Hours are worked between 7:30am-4:00pm; Monday thru Friday only (no weekends or holidays).
The Lead Adult Caregiver / Program Assistant helps the participants of the program to have an enjoyable experience while providing opportunities, cares, and services following the written service plan for the participants.
- Help develop programming schedule and do activities both on and off site.
- Prepare, serve, clean up meals and snacks.
- Involves driving the activities transport vehicle.
- Assure medications are taken as ordered, assess accuchecks, weights, and vitals.
- Provide personal cares (such as baths and toileting).
- Work independently and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer programs in the absence of the Director.
- Delegate day to day tasks to program assistants to facilitate daily programming and assure participants receive services.
Requirements: Must be 18 yrs. of age. Experience working in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Home Health Care; or as a DSP or RA is beneficial, but not required. Valid driver’s license preferred.
